Tax Day: Nuclear Weapons Expenditures Protest

15Apr //
April 15, All Day (12:15pm - Media is invited to hear public opinions) Located at the US Postal Office, 400 S. Clinton St. Iowa City, IA

PSR is raising awareness on the money spent on nuclear weapons in a time when we're hearing so much about the need to "tighten" our belts. When the world is coming together to call for the abolition of nuclear weapons, it's high time for us who fund this dangerous, powerful, nuclear arms industry to join the rest of the world. PSR is also inviting the media to join us at 12:15 for formal remarks from locals who work on important human needs issues.

Formal Speakers include: Janelle Rettig re. Funding local Environmental Concerns Nancy Porter re. Funding for Schools and Children.
